We used to recycle, did for years. It was a bit different than what we were used to; they never did separate plastics, paper, etc. here, but they announced there was no real market/profit for recycling any more, so we now can put most anything except the obvious (like batteries, paint cans, medical/needles, things that really have no disposal place without a long auto drive or storing for a year and waiting for a disposal "event" somewhere. All other garbage, lawn waste, what used to be recycle (like water bottles, glass jars, etc.) are all put into bags (any kind, any color, no longer require lawn waste bags or clear plastic for the paper and plastic, anything goes now) and as we understand, it is all just incinerated without any toxic emissions to the air ! Amazing what science has accomplished !
