You are correct that you are assigend a box and all your mail delivered throught the US Postal Service is delivered there. If you receive a package that is too large, there are a number of additional larger bins, and you get a numbered key in your regular mail box so you know to get the larger parcel out of the larger bin. This is for US Postal Service only, no Fedex or UPS, which are delivered directly to your home. Amazon sometimes uses the US Postal Service for deliveries and those come to the postal station as above, unless Amazon has directed the postal service to deliver it to your home directly, which sometimes happens.
