You're missing the scale of it.
Nissan built and sold 1.5 million cars in 2017 and 2018. The industry as a whole is somewhere north of 18 million in the US alone and 100million globally.
All manufacturers of all carts sold were under 100,000 units in 2017. Club car has a sales of $105,000,000. Sounds like a lot until you realize the average new cart is around $18,000-20000, putting the total sales at under 6000 units. You don't get the same discount on parts for 6000 pieces as you do for 1.5 million + 20% for repairs.
While I don't doubt they make profit, it's probably not Simon Bar Sinister level of profits.
