to the rest of the world that we are serious than it is real relief but should be done...it will provide US income and NEW JOBS.
Pickens needs to be supported by government funds to exploit wind...it will only create non imported fuel based energy and the manufacture, installation and maintenance will provide NEW JOBS.
New refineries to back up and replace the old non efficient ones would eliminate price spiking, improve efficiency of production, lower the cost and provide NEW JOBS.
Nuclear is a no brainer held at bay by the uneducated...the research, development, construction, manufacture, operating and maintenance will provide NEW JOBS.
Clean coal....an unlimited supply in our back yard...completely blocked by the knowledge stunted politicos )now including the new Obama appointee to HHS!!)....Biden says China needs to use clean coal technology to clean up the environment...what about here in the good old USA...more research, development, facility construction, equipment manufacture, operating and maintenance will provide NEW JOBS.
And just more research into all the other technologies that take us away from foreign supply.
It is a dire need to do all of the above. There could easily be an "energy bail out" bill funneling billions in this direction where we the people would experience a direct benefit immediately with the added emphasis of the USA returning to it's prior days of world leadership and innovation with direct benefit for we the people first and the rest of the world second.
Like the industrial revolution why can we not DEMAND an ENERGY REVOLUTION? Politics be
Talk about lawmakers providing a stimulus for energy independence that can only lead to more jobs and more $$$ for their constituency.
Sitting here knowing the crisis is only a matter of time I for the life of me do not understand why this is not at the top of all our lists??
Unfortunately we have grown accustomed to only responding when there is a full blown crisis requiring panic, knee jerk solutions that in the case of lack of energy will not work...as the nay sayers remind us....they are all long term.
Hence there are NO QUICK FIXES.....but why are we not beginning? Money is certainly no object
Banking, corporate problems, housing, mortgage problems, unemployment will resolve one way or another....plus, like it or not theses only directly affect less than 10% of the population (OK make it 20% if that makes you happier)...the point in closing is the energy crisis when it gets to full impact will affect 100%.....life as we know it today will be paradise by comparison.
So what does it take to inspire we the people to action? Our lawmakers?
Your children and grand children are in for a very terrible way of life with an interrupted or insufficient energy supply....GUARANTEED!!!!
