I think it depends on how you cruise. We do not sit around the pools, too much noise and too many sweaty people
. We always manage to find a quiet spot on the ship to sit and read, love the deck for sitting and watching the water, do not go to eat at the high times on the ship. Spend a lot of time sitting and relaxing on our balcony.
We have both traveled for business and pleasure for many years, have taken wonderful river cruises and land cruises in Europe, but now I am quite happy to cruise in the Caribbean and enjoy being waited on for 10+ days. For me a cruise ship is one big old floating hotel and I love it. We also have no problem wearing a mask when required.
