Many people that get Medicare Advantage have “buyers remorse”. You might have to go to less than desirable clinics and hospitals, and denied treatments or procedures. To make a profit, Medicare Advantage has to cut costs somewhere and to some people. Although, I know someone who has Medicare Advantage and is happy with it.
I’ve heard that Medicare Advantage routinely denies about 25% of all claims. I’ve also heard that once you’ve been on Medicare Advantage for over one year, you have to medically qualify to switch back to Original Medicare. If you’re health declines, and you can’t medically qualify to switch back to the Original Medicare, then you’d be stuck with Medicare Advantage, which might not be an “advantage”!
