Although I am not a resident yet, let me put my two cents in on the cov. rules. The strict rules of TV is one of the main reasons we are buying there. We have been all over the world, and when you don't have rules, things can go to h@ll in a hand basket real quick. Since your home is your biggest outlet of money it only makes sense to do everything you can to keep its value up, and that includes the neighborhood and area which all factor into the resale price or equity growth. I have seen super nice sub-divisions go to pot, when there are no rules, so it does effect everyone.
As has been stated, if you don't like the rules, DON'T BUY/MOVE/LIVE in TV!
