Honestly, if I was in my late teens and 20's, the most likely age to be working in these places, and I knew there were so many CUSTOMERS who had the attitude that the reason we were short-staffed was that "my" generation wasn't willing to actually work for a living when we could get paid more to stay at home...

I wouldn't want to work there either. Who'd want to serve a bunch of uppity entitled old people who think I'm not deserving of respect? For minimum wage plus the tips that basically tell me "yes, I, the customer, am better than you are, here's some tuppence to prove it" Not me.

That's the attitude I read in this and other threads. I don't blame people for not wanting to work for companies that require they deal with the bunch of ya.
