In the Villages, a police officer will rarely have to pay for a drink or meal. Every time I see one in a restaurant and try to pay for their meal, someone else has always beat me to it. I am proud of my neighbors when I see this. I have had nothing but good interactions with the local police and have found them to be very professional and yet very easy to have a conversation with.
Defund the police, my "@***!" They need more funding for equipment and training, as well as recruitment.
