Not against the law if you put it in your own golf cart, with or without their knowledge.
You're tracking your cart to find it if it's stolen.
ALSO, the Apple Airtag is only good for something probably less than 50 yards away.
Same thing with Tile.
As others have mentioned, if you want a full time tracker they're cheap but then there's a monthly fee of about $5 to $15.
