Shirts do matter. I got crap for the shirt I was wearing the other day from one of the golf ambassadors. My shirt was well within the published dress code. A button down collared shirt with sleeves that went almost to my elbows. My shirts label said Carhartt, not Tommy Bahama, Tommy Hilfiger, or Izod. Apparently the ambassador has a thing against Carharrt, or any shirt that has a pocket. I like the pocket for my T's and divot fixer, and it cost about 1/4 the price of a shirt from one of the hoity toity apparel companies. Also, Carhartt represents the average working class Joe, which is my style. I told the ambassador that the dress code is posted in every pro shop if he wanted to check it out. I don't think he was aware of the dress code since he was working at Hacienda Hills, and their pro shop was torn down?
