I believe that people have the right to own a gun for both protection and sport. I just struggle with all the deaths that have occurred by someone using a rapid fire weapon. It’s just how I feel.

Wrong. You may still own a machine gun if allowed in your state. FL is one of these states. A FFL is the easiest way to obtain one, along with money to pay for it. The machine gun must be registered with the Federal government though.
