That's what so frustrating -- the USPS won't take responsibility and/or provide help. Just the standard of don't know anything about it. Your package was probably put in a locker and the key in someone else's mailbox. Seems that so many think that this issue is to be expected from the USPS and no one should get frustrated when it happens to them. IMHO, that's why it's continuing to happen because "we" let the "I don't know anything" staff get off without any escalation up the chain. I haven't provided some specifics in this thread, but have more experience with this issue that I've said and I have gotten results in the past including the replacement of a location Post Master in one long-running situation with our entire community and the termination of a postal carrier in another situation (the carrier finally admitted he had thrown out his entire route of direct mail that one of my customers had paid $1,300 for -- he got fired and my customer got a refund from the post office -- in that case, the location Post Master was instrumental in getting to the bottom of the non-delivery and took the issue seriously). There are a lot of super dedicated USPS staff and management, but also some -- as in any business -- who simply don't care and I don't believe anyone should have to tolerate their indifference and irresponsibility. Mistakes happen, but when it does, USPS should be doing their best to help and not give a "I don't know anything about it" answer.
