When you reserve a tee time there is always a chance that you will end up as a foursome. This time of the year if you are playing anytime before 4:00 I would say it is a 99% chance that you will be in a foursome. If you show up at 4:00 or so then the chances are good that you will be a twosome. The 4:00 tee times are by phone in the day of play or show up.
Last week my guest and I had a 1:00 tee time at Palmer and we had a four some for the first nine holes. The people that we were playing with were only playing 9. When we made the turn to Riley Grove we were the only two people on the golf course. We played that nine without seeing anyone ahead or behind us.
Don't let playing with people you don't know bother you. It is a great way to meet a lot if nice people. I have lived here for 3 years and only played with one jerk. I was lucky he was in the other cart. The guy I was riding with and I just laughed at him. Sure there are some people that you really enjoy playing with and others that you didn't mind playing with but wouldn't go out of your way to play with again.
If you do want to play as a twosome play late in the day.
