My husband and I always feel fortunate when we get to play as "just" a twosome. When I first started playing I was fairly intimidated by being paired with two men - I always thought they must be so much better. And I also experienced a little of the attitude you describe.
That being said, we have met lots of great people form all over the world. We played in TV with a couple originally from Iceland and now living part-time in TV and part time elsewhere in Europe! I especially like being paired up with another couple, so please PM us when you get to TV (we will move in late April) if you would like to play with another couple.
