No, they were following administrative procedures at the hospital. When patients were coming into the hospital they were routinely tested for Covid so that the staff could keep positive patients away from the negative patients.
If someone came in after a massive stroke and also tested positive for Covid but later died, both the stroke and Covid would be listed on the death certificate. The person actually died from the massive stroke but also happened to have Covid at the time of death so they would become a Covid statistic.
