I do not know where you reside, but you will not find another community that devotes time and money to fund raise and collect items for needy children and food pantries/soup kitchens, animal rescue, etc. as much as it is done in the Villages. Some communities have monthly collections of food donations. And Billionaires getting to keep some of their money that has been confiscated/demanded by the gov. is not considered "welfare" by anyone other than the have-nots that are jealous of the achievements of their betters. And the rich really DO help the economy. Their purchases alone end up providing many jobs, federal revenues in taxes, etc. How many poor folks hire employees? Trickle down really does work, regardless of the attempts by some to brainwash you into believing otherwise.
