I have had a Mourning Dove nest in my fern plant by my front door 2 yrs in a row. I never knew the hatching of their eggs were a shared task until this. This season, only one egg hatched. Somehow one was cracked.
I put up signs to walk with caution as there is a nest. We are still able to go in & out our front door (slowly) w/o egg-sitting being disrupted. I love to watch the process. God's beauty.
