Also, the heads of Colleges and Universities and their staffs have years ago decided that they should be paid like CEOs of corporations. Even college football coaches make 6 million / year. This has made colleges largely unaffordable to the average high school student with good grades and without extremely rich parents. It was NOT this way in the 1960s. Today college students take out LARGE loans that take some over 20 years to pay back. What this does overall to US society is decrease UPWARD MOBILITY and decrease QUALITY OF LIFE. The US is ranked around 30th in the world in these qualities today. England is about 11th. The US was in the top ten in the 50s and 60s. What happened........there are MANY details - but, overall the elitists (top 10%) won, and America LOST!!!!!!! That's one reason why Americans are having FEWER children now than in the 1950s.
