Yesterday, our laptop computer that MBH uses got hit by a virus...I ran AVG and it said it cleared 3 trojans...then I agian manually updated AVG and ran it and cleared 9 trojans. Ran AVG again and all seems OK....no infections found!

Things seems OK but I noted this morning that the laptop was not asleep and the start up screen was showing. I checked AVG history and the program ran last night (as it does every night) no infections found. SO I started to use the internet when all of a sudden sounds like a radio station came on and I could not locate the source. I went to windows task manager (Control-alt-delete) and even after shuting down all applications I could not find the source of the radio noise..no files open no applications runing) so I turned the computer off. I then restarted the computer and the windows initiation screen came up but after that I only had a BLACK screen with a cursor...no beeps or no start screen. Man what a mess!!

This is an IBM laptop and has a system restore capability and it looks like I will have to restore the operating system. NEVER DONE this before. Is this complicated or what do I have to be careful ...or should I get knowledgeable help!!!
