The problem is human nature. Even though the tenants will know there is live music in the square every night and will even be okay with it when they sign their lease, it's just a matter of time before they complain about it. The Villages and Lady Lake will then have to do something about - like shutting down the music.
Then starts the downward spiral. The Villages' developer sells off the historic district and the area around Spanish Springs. Other clusters of the Villages north of Lake Sumter will follow suit. It's all so predictable, in my opinion. And it's been rumored for a while that the developer is open to selling off parts of the Villages.
For one developer to administer The Villages when its population reaches 300,000 and spans 30 miles or more is just not realistic.
