SO WHAT?

All that means is that some people are more talented than others, some are more intelligent than others, some worked harder than others, some were very lucky and some had the right parents. Others sat on their fat arses and collected welfare checks, food stamps and popped out babies from multiple different fathers

again, SO WHAT???

It's only communists and socialists that think this disparity should be artificial flattened out by government, and we all know how well that has been working out.
Nice to hear from you, Mr. Goofey Eagles. I am also a fan of capitalism. But, the US has changed gradually and then MORE quickly from about 1975 until today. We had less population, crime, immigration, and we had a VERY STABLE middle class. We were in the top 10 of countries for upward mobility and quality of life. people were living longer each generation (not today). Average wages were staying ahead of inflation. From 1975 until just this year average wages with respect to inflation or buying power DECREASED. The middle class was screwed - so much so that today we have VIRTUALLY NO middle class. Just the uber-rich and the uber-poor. And I mentioned the WEALTH DISPARITY. Now a rich person MIGHT (?) NOT MIND being at the top of the totem pole. But, social instability could hurt them also. One can imagine the social instability in France just before the French Revolution and the guillotine! People in 1975 IMAGINED that each next generation would be better off than the current. That IS NOT the case today! We are now around 30th in qualities like upward mobility worldwide and general quality of life. Even the UK is around 11th in upward mobility. The US cannot continue much longer with a society consisting of Uber-rich and uber-poor only. We no longer have real active capitalism - now we have Corporate and elitist Socialism. And it is firmly etched into law!!!!!!!!!
