I would like to point out that venmo has absolutely no controls and safety if you pay the wrong person and type in the wrong email address. It is a way for your bank to get some of the business away from PayPal. PayPal itself has been around several decades now and has certain fees associated with it depending on how you pay or get paid. Upwards of 3%, if you use it funding Julia credit card if you take money out of your bank and connect your bank and the other person will get a check I believe it's zero .
PayPal is by no means perfect but you have two choices when you fund it and when you send money one is for paying a retailer where there's a few more checks and balances the other one is when you pay friends and family where it's presumed it won't be any fraud. Further PayPal now has hey debit card as well as credit cards associated with their name. Personally if you're going to get money from members or was suggest simply going with cash if it's once a year. However PayPal does have a monthly subscription link which is great for that type of club and wants a small amount of money every month
