My two cents worth. Assuming, it is a newer car and you have information about tire pressure on your dash, there is a sending unit in each tire they are powered by a battery in the unit. In any case one of mine has failed. According to my reading the life is about 7 years. Dealer will likely tell you to replace them.
I've not bought tires from them but have had good experiences with Wildwood Tire and plan on shopping there. Watching to see what others have to say.
