My partner had the mesh surgery a few years ago. She did her research on the procedure, consulted with her primary doc, picked an experienced surgeon with a good track record, and had it done. Respecting the entire recuperative period and following medical advice during that period is very important. She has had excellent results. One of her friends followed the same approach with excellent results. Years before her recent surgery, my partner had pessary surgery. Again, she followed competent medical advice (and didn’t listen to anecdotal stories) and did well … for many years until the need for mesh surgery became obvious. Best of luck to you.
