It sounds like the golfers were still 'in range' when the OP hit his shot. In that case, I think the golfers were totally justified to yell and curse at the OP.

HE DID STATE THAT[/B]. In addition, if they were leaving and ROUNDING THE BEND, they were off that hole, out of range, and not in danger. This is a tiny exec course---it's not like he was trying to hit a 3 wood 250 to the green and caught it flush for 280.
BTW, do you actually play golf??? I'm inclined to think not, because a golfer is not likely to scream and curse even if a ball comes somewhat near them. They realize the nuances of the game and will generally politely accept an apology. And most golfers would not consider it
justified to curse and yell
