No need to do that. Once the spa is running, get some
Ahhh-some hot tub cleaner, and follow the directions. It will clean everything out of the lines and leave them like new.
If the hot tub is old and has been used a lot, be prepared to see a disgusting amount of junk flushed out of the lines. Drain the hot tub, refill, then run a 2nd round of Ahhh-some through. It will end up cleaner than new. (I even used this on our new spa to get rid of any manufacturing chemicals/debris that might have been left in.)
