Well, the 0.007% number is from the CDC. The 20% number is an extrapolation of rumor on social media. I think I'll go with the CDC.
Now, off the record and just an opinion, maybe not even one I would give professionally, I wonder if there is a problem with the test. Also, could the vaccine, which codes for the spike protein, cause enough B cell activity to turn the test positive. And then maybe some of the players had exposure just prior to vaccination. And again, a positive test is not a "case", I don't think any of these rumored cases was sick.
