Now, off the record and just an opinion, maybe not even one I would give professionally, I wonder if there is a problem with the test. Also, could the vaccine, which codes for the spike protein, cause enough B cell activity to turn the test positive. And then maybe some of the players had exposure just prior to vaccination. And again, a positive test is not a "case", I don't think any of these rumored cases was sick.

This is not a “rumor on social media” the positive tests were reported by every major news network. All six were also retested and confirmed positive.
Two months ago, eight members of the Yankees travel team and coaching staff, who were fully vaccinated, tested positive. One required hospitalization. In order for the 0.007% figure that you provided to truly work, the Yankees would have to have had 114,286 coaches and members of the traveling team…
