Poor attempt at statistics. The 0.007% was calculated across all those who were vaccinated, not just those associated with the Yankees.
WRONG: Every vaccinated person who develops a breakthrough case must have 14,286 family members who did not get sick. Therefore, since eight Yankees became infected there must be 114,286 Yankees that did not.
RIGHT: About one out of every 14,286 vaccinated individuals will develop a symptomatic breakthrough case.

Why do people insist on making claims without looking them up first, do they really think no one will check? Proof by emphatic assertion rarely works.
Confirmation bias is real; I can find any number of articles that say so.
