How is this being implemented?
Ever watch a NASCAR "restrictor plate" race.....all cars are limited to a very similar speed, they all get clustered together and when something bad happens many cars crash.
Traveling a bit over the speed limit isn't a bad thing, if it serves to stretch out traffic vs. clustering it. It actually allows many to remain sane, driving with cars on surrounding you makes many very nervous and leads to aggressive driving (road rage).
Chasing down the 5-7 mph over drivers is really chasing a revenue stream and not helping public safety. Chasing down those going above that, the reckless, the "street racers", etc. is taking action to make roads safer and i hope is where efforts are focused.
So, anybody know with the goal of this effort is? The casual speeder who arguably is trying to drive safe or the reckless driver putting others in jeopardy?
