For all of us, they should ticket others. Reality, I used to drive quite a bit on the job.
One moving violation in 50 plus years. Violation, radar, claimed I was doing over 70 in my
1964 VW. I fought it and won. My car was running on three out of four cylinders, there is no way it would do 70 mph.

Car Crashes Into Sign With Ironic Message: Plainfield Police | Plainfield, IL Patch
I got a speeding ticket right outside Van Horn, Texas in 1996 when I was travelling from the CA wine country to the Tarpon Springs-Clearwater area of FL on a move. There was NOTHING there in that part of Texas after you got out of Van Horn. Seemed senseless to me but it is the law even if it often seems to have little fairness attached to it. I did have a rifle in the trunk which I thought mentioned when the lady officer asked if I had any weapons in the car. But I think I had a knife under the seat that had not come to mind right away and I probably had not told her about it. I kind of interpreted this question from her as if I had any loaded firearms withing reach but did mention the unloaded and in a carrying case rifle.
I see that some of the space launches are now coming out of that area.
