Admittedly it's been a few years since I was last in Vegas, but what I was last there several did offer a few dollars per hour in food comps, and ALL offered free drinks. I'd love to hear your reasoning behind why it's entirely reasonable for Oxford Downs to charge for coffee, soft drinks, and water. Sure, it's a private business and they're entitled to run it anyway they want, but I'd hardly consider that customer-friendly. They are raking $200+ per hour off of each table, and they can't afford to give players a free cup of coffee or a soft drink?

What's wrong with OPs post? He/she plays in or organizes a low limit game in a local rec center and are looking for players, what's the problem with that?

If you're referring to games run anywhere else besides Oxford Downs that's not true. I'm a poker player and I don't know of any good home games in the area.

I agree with everything you wrote in the last paragraph except the last sentence.
