He seems a little too good from my point of view. Even though the same can be said of some of the other contestants from previous Idols who also seemed to be different from the amateurs you would count on being in this kind of contest.
You wonder why some people were disqualified while others have not been like Adam Lambert who was touring with a national group of stage actors if I am not mistaken.

It also seems like the standing ovation from Simon Cowell was more because they had run eight minutes over and Adam Lambert had given a good performance that night. I have liked some of his other performances quite a bit more than the Mad World one.
