I think you may have misunderstood my post. It is entirely possible that boosters will be necessary sometime in the future. Determining when they will be needed is going to take more work.
It won't be up to Pfizer or Moderna to tell us the booster is ready and it's time to be re-vaccinated. Rather, it will be up to the CDC and FDA to evaluate the data and identify the point where the vaccine is no longer providing sufficient protection.
