1. Wear and tear of one person with one golf cart hitting two balls is still less than 4 people with two golf carts, each hitting 1 ball.
2. The wear and tear of the greens has *nothing* to do with the OP's question. His concern is the waiting, the delay. My post addressed the delay.
3. Just like in normal traffic on the highway, you *cannot* go any faster than the guy directly ahead of you. Laws of physics apply here.
4. Since #3 is true, it doesn't really matter -
in the context of "having to wait" what the person ahead of you is doing while HE waits for the person in front of HIM.
