If you paid for a survey, the surveyor should stand behind his work. I would notify the survey company that the survey has been disputed and they need to recheck it for accuracy, and provide you with a plat that clearly shows where the property line is, including dimensions from the house or other landmarks. The surveyor is licensed by the state and does not want a complaint against them. If the survey is correct, then you can construct whatever you want on your property.
