Probably 99 percent will say Sean Connery. But the original Lazenby was actually quite good in the story and unfortunately they did not spend any money on special effects so was not as memorable. Personally I was turned off from mr. Connery as he trashed one of his later movies himself which to me was a terrible thing to do. I agree with you and vehemently disagree with the earlier poster who said Lazenby was the worst. In my opinion, he fleshed out the character of Bond and I wish he had continued in the role. Connery is acknowledged as the best Bond by most because his is the prototypical caricature version of Bond who everyone grew used to but Lazenby's Bond may be closer to the literary version.
