The NMC chemistry is safer and more durable. You need to charge Lithium batteries slowly to avoid dendrite formation and possible short...Keep under 25A and it will be fine. The latest lithium battery tech (safe and durable) is available now in the new Hyundia Ioniq 5 with its 350kw max DC charge. That is the only EV car I would recommend. I still wouldn't shove 350kw into it.

I charge my lithium pack to 90% ... and at 22A max. The slower you charge any battery, the longer it will last.
