I see quite a few of those vaping things, for example, as well as empty cigarette packs, cigarette butts, cigar butts (in one incident, still smoldering), food wrappers, etc. But the one thing that seems to be ever-present (and growing) are those little one-shot liquor bottles, and in a couple of cases, not-so-little liquor bottles (we used to call 'em halfpints; I have no idea what they are called now).
Most of the stuff disappears when the maintenance crews mow the areas next to the paths; I don't know if they actually pick the litter up or if it just gets pulverized by the mower blades. But in any case, The Villages is a beautiful place. I would think that the pride alone in being able to live in such surroundings would motivate people not to litter.
