But no, bovine somatotropin is not the big hairy monster people think it is. There are no elevated amounts of it in the milk you drink, and there is no way of telling whether the milk you're drinking has ONLY the natural BST that the cow manufactures all by herself, or the rBST which is injected into her to make her produce more milk. The two are molecularly identical. The labeling is merely marketing jargon, it has no significance of any kind, whatsoever.
This is the same kind of strategy used by the anti-vax movement which wants you to be afraid of "big Pharma."
