Fortunately there are choices. Each choice has advantages and disadvantages. Electric vehicles, have been around since about 1900. Motors and batteries have gotten better; so have gasoline engines. The problems are still the same. Not only the cost for the batteries but the cost or replacement batteries. Warranty? If, it says say 7 years it is a prorated warranty and is based on an inflated list price. With lithium ion batteries the capacity goes up when new but then starts to go lower. Rapid charge actually reduces the life of the battery.

Most issues, there is no such thing as a perfect answer. Interesting to me. At one time golf carts used two cycle engines. Simple, cheap and dirty. I bet the ads said no oil changes necessary. That is,was true but it is lipstick on a pig.
