Because of underlying health issues I qualified to get my third Moderna now and I received it last week at my local Publix. My second shot was in April. In cases like mine, it is considered a third shot rather than a booster. For the general population you would receive your booster 8 months after your second and it should be from the same manufacturer. Besides a headache and an itchy arm with a welt, I’m fine. Since I typically get my annual flu shot in early October, I will stick to that. You should speak with your physician and pharmacist for their input. FYI if you plan to schedule your vaccine with Publix at Mulberry, it is incorrectly listed under Sumter County instead of Marion. I did mention that to the pharmacist but I doubt that it has been changed to the correct county.
