There will always be those who allow their dogs to pee and poop wherever. There will be those who allow their dogs outdoors or on the lanai to bark all day. Before you tell me your dogs are better behaved than... please read a recent thread about folks in Duval who had guests and 6 or 7 dogs on the lanai barking.

For the rest of us dog parks would be part of the solution. I personally always have our dog relieve himself on our property before we go for a walk. That said, he is a dog! He may need to go again before we get home. In that case, the street or a common area is best. We have a little "purse" that strips onto his leash so poop bags are always at hand.

Some homes in TV have fences - those cute ranches in Hemingway and the CYVs. For new buyers, I think those are your choices for now. You could also choose to lobby for them in new areas being developed - then prospective buyers will know that they are allowed in that area and make a decision based on that. I would not want fences in my new neighborhood and would be opposed to changing the rules.

One thing that hasn't come up is Invisible Fences. Are they allowed in TV? If so, that may be an option for some that only want a fence to keep their dogs safe.
