With as much construction that is going on right now one would think there would be lots of new homes for sale, there’s not. The market is on fire and inventory is low. A check of The Villages website shows only 60 new homes available. Considering the sales rate, that’s just over a week’s supply.

Any discussion on any topic we must deal with one thing at a time. Reality, is far different, everything happens at once. Sort of a perfect storm. Mortgage rates are very low on a historical level. Inflation is rising. Our population is prosperous on a historical level.
Our population is aging. Retirement to a life of leisure is also a new concept. The Villages? Add to that air conditioning. It was not that long ago. Imagine Florida without
air conditioning. Perhaps a simple explanation of the population growth.
