And I have often wondered whether overpopulation (like in China) leads to a lower quality of life and therefore lower-valued life - can said overpopulation INCREASE the propensity for dictatorship in that country? Africa has high concentrations of population and many dictators. Japan before WW2 had a concentrated population and what could be called a military dictatorship. Hitler wanted more "living space". Joseph Stalin did NOT value life very highly even though The Soviet Union was sparsely populated in its eastern section. Not sure if this idea is true in all cases? Maybe, some TV Landers have a better knowledge of this possibility than I do?
