PS: I am sorry we have to put up with those who keep taking shots at the obvious stats that are clearly showing ICU beds are being filled by the unvaccinated — by a very large percentage.
I don’t know why they think hospitals across the entire country are telling lies. I keep thinking that maybe the Covid deniers are so hellbent on validating their own behaviors with Facebook garbage and other screens — where they allow themselves to be manipulated by master puppeteers —that they are now forever lost in the wilderness. The psychology of their obsession would be fascinating if the rest of us were not caught in it.
This morning on CBS, there was a report from a regional hospital in Medford, Oregon, that is being overrun in their ICU — with unvaccinated Covid patients.
The nurses and doctors interviewed used the phrase “collateral deaths” because they are worried about non-Covid patients dying because they have no room. They have had to postpone more than 100 heart surgeries (from the general population of patients) because they cannot give them the care they will need.
That 100 number surprised me so much that I hit rewind. The number was right. That hospital — alone — has more than 100 non-Covid people needing a valve surgery, or any heart surgery, who are unable to get their surgeries because of the unvaccinated Covid patients hogging beds and exhausting medical staff.
I also cannot comprehend why parents do not make sure their kids are surrounded by vaccinated adults. These people will not even try to protect their own children by getting the vaccine as the adults in the family. Kids have no choice. They are at the mercy of parental decisions. And what if the unvaccinated parent dies of Covid — when they could have stayed around with their children — had they not been under the influence of conspiracy theories and calculated dysinformation.
I appreciate the fact that Delta Airlines is raising insurance premiums by 200 dollars a month for employees that refuse to be vaccinated. (Of course, they might have to make medical exceptions, real ones.) But I hope more private businesses do the same. The rest of us do not need to be paying higher premiums for freeloaders who get Covid — after refusing to be vaccinated. . .The time has come for more employers to play hardball.
(Dr. Boogie, please forgive the rant, here added to my get well wishes for you, but I am on your side. Please get better every day.)
Again, Boomer

I don’t understand why it’s assumed only the unvaccinated can spread covid when Winston was probably a spreader himself, even though he was thoroughly vaccinated. I think people misunderstand the various ways this virus is spread.
