Same rules at straight pool, lag for break initially.

Now you say how easy! Not really if you are straight pool player. You don’t bust balls up on break, at most leave one long shot off break with cue ball against rail at corner pocket. Safety play till someone makes shot or makes mistake.

Now, if you good enough you can bank corner ball straight back and continue. ( even if you good odds are maybe 4 out of 10?) or you can really be brave and try for head ball in side pocket from side break, but that scatters balls and generally causes loss of game right off bat.

After initial break, alternate breaks. First one to 5 racks or what ever determined before game.

Same game without all the continues racking and bean counting (balls). Good for practicing break and safety play.

One pocket can be played same to 3. Shorter and have to have defensive skills also.
