Our current main weapon is the vaccine - which worked well against the Alpha variant - now, NOT as well against the Delta variant. No one truly knows the future - CV could just magically disappear. But, the historic trend shows that CV is increasingly MORE contagious and MORE deadly. I hope not.......but we may not have to worry about labor shortages in restaurants because, although unlikely, there is a slim possibility that there will be few open restaurants and few humans left to eat in them. There is NO guarantee that humans beat the virus instead of the opposite. WE all have taken a very light and limited attitude toward fighting the Virus. Many children are also dying. Schools are disrupted - families have lost loved ones. So, in conclusion, is it any wonder why Restaurants have labor shortages? The US MAY (?) have much bigger WORRIES.
