I have NO ISSUES with law enforcement doing traffic stops for what is considered "speeding" However....I have lived in Florida for 37 years now with 9 in the villages and the issue I have a problem with is the way the traffic engineers set the speed limits on some of the roads. Not just in the Villages but in general across our fair state. Some of the speed limits are way to conservative and low. They impede traffic and actually set up unsafe conditions by encouraging speeding. Bless the police for enforcement for our safety but lets question how some of these "limits" are placed on roadways. What is the algorithm used to determine speed limits? Lets' explore the root cause of the issue.
